Welcome to Pursuit of Change!
Pursuit of Change provides strategies and motivation to move from the 9 to 5 to the life of your dreams. To be honest, I’m still in this transition myself, but I’m here to tell you what’s working, what’s not, and to convince you that NOW is the time to act!
It’s always been a goal of mine to start a business, preferably from home. I know it might be idealistic, but I want to be there when my kids wake up and when they get home from school. I want to be able to work wherever I want – not just in my cubicle. My goal is more about freedom of time than making loads of money.
I’m not in this to get rich – I just want to provide for my family, be able to work on my own schedule, and help people achieve the same thing.
Ready? Let’s go.
Getting started with Pursuit of Change
So it’s your first time here? Overwhelmed? Let me provide some direction.
First, take a look at why I started this blog: The Pursuit of Change Manifesto. Sure, I stole some stuff from that post for my intro above, but I wrote it, so there.
Next, check out these posts for a taste of what I’m rocking day-to-day:

Finally, connect with me! Follow me on twitter (@mtio) or shoot me an email at mike [at] pursuitofchange [dot] com. Yes, that goes directly to my iPhone, so I’ll read your email – unless my two-year-old deletes it while trying to get to the zoo animal match game…
Who’s behind the iMac at Pursuit of Change?
My name is Mike Tiojanco, I’m a late 20′s husband, father of two, blogger, entrepreneur, currently stuck in the “corporate world.” Make no mistake, I’m in this to help people, but also to make money to support my family.
My day job involves professional audio – we sell, rent, and do shows in the Chicagoland area. If a big concert tour comes through Chicago, there’s a good chance they’ll call us to provide all the audio, or because they forgot something at their last stop and they know we rent just about everything out there.
Besides the day job, I’m a pretty active worship musician – playing drums, guitar, bass, and keyboard/piano. I’m also currently on staff at my church, running the tech ministry on the weekends.
If I ever have free time just to myself, I still love playing video games and ultimate frisbee. Yes, I have the interests of a college freshman.
